Vaccination is a safe and efficient way to prevent the spread of various diseases and immunisation protects people against harmful infections before they come into contact with them. Most vaccines are administered by injection. Some are administered orally. Every year, we will provide eligible patients with information and priority bookings for annual flu vaccinations.
Did you know that your ears clean themselves? Ear wax usually works its way out of your ears naturally, so there’s no need to use cotton buds – or anything else – to remove it. In fact, inserting objects into your ears can push wax deeper, leading to blockages, infections, or even eardrum damage.
However, if a blockage does occur, don’t try to remove it yourself! For safe and effective earwax removal, always see a trained medical professional. Ear syringing is a gentle way to clear blockages by flushing the ear with warm water, often made easier with ear drops beforehand. If syringing isn’t suitable, alternatives like microsuction may be recommended. Check with your GP to learn more.
