Rural Health Group, in partnership with FNQ PHN, is making healthcare more accessible for people with chronic health conditions in our clinic. Our new Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Program focuses on prevention and ongoing care, encouraging regular health checks and personalised care plans.

CDM combines medical care, lifestyle changes, and self-management to help people with long-term conditions. Our doctors and nurses put together a tailored GP Management Plan (GPMP or Care Plan) to provide step-by-step support, offering accessible healthcare services focused on improving your health and quality of life.

With proactive outreach and regular follow-ups, this program helps manage and prevent chronic conditions from progressing.

Do you know that your ears (and ear wax) hate cotton buds?

Did you know that your ears clean themselves? Ear wax usually works its way out of your ears naturally, so there’s no need to use cotton buds – or anything else – to remove it. In fact, inserting objects into your ears can push wax deeper, leading to blockages, infections, or even eardrum damage.

However, if a blockage does occur, don’t try to remove it yourself! For safe and effective earwax removal, always see a trained medical professional. Ear syringing is a gentle way to clear blockages by flushing the ear with warm water, often made easier with ear drops beforehand. If syringing isn’t suitable, alternatives like microsuction may be recommended. Check with your GP to learn more.

Fees & Billing

We are a Medicare bulk billing practice.

Standard GP appointments, face to face and telehealth will all be bulk billed for patients who hold an eligible Medicare card.

Please note that some procedures or additional services may incur an out-of-pocket fee. Bulk billing applies to GP consultations only and does not include specialist or allied health services.
